Music
I started to learn to play the piano at 8 years with Elza Gay, then with Bruno Pietri. In 73, I discover rock music. Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Status Quo, Deep Purple, UFO, Nazareth. I was a progressive rock fan with Yes, Genesis, King Crimson…
I start to play the guitar and learn with Jean-Jacques Beguin, later with Guy Maxwell.
During 4 years, from 78 to 82, I follow jazz workshops at the A.M.R of Geneva with Maurice Magnoni and Olivier Magnenat. I discover Charlie Christian, Django, Barney Kessel, Kenny Burell, George Benson, Joe Pass, etc.
I spend numerous nights fiddling with synthethizers. Also some guitar lessons with Henri Don Jeany.
Years later, Marc Liebeskind invites me to play the bass at his jazz workshop. More recently, I studied some guitar techniques with the help of Christophe Godin.
I played in numerous local bands, Ornicar, Daniel Raemy Big Band, Turtlewalk, and many more with no names to be mentionned.

Programming
My first headaches in front of a computer was in 75. I spent many hours in front of a teletype and listings in Basic and Fortran. A moonlanding game, some equation solving programs were my first babies.
Some years later I discovered Pascal language, and some graphic libraries helped me to develop my very first music sheet application.
Serious work went after my diploma, when I worked with Oracle and Access. I still do this, maybe years passed too quickly… But it is still enjoyable, although it presents some kind of routine now.
I am actually into learning .Net: I just migrated my old web crawler from VB6 into .Net and ADO. Not too late, maybe it will use an Oracle or MySql database.
